Your access to and use of the website spoj.org.rs (the “Website”), as well as your access to and use of other content available on the Website, are governed by applicable laws and these Terms of Use (the “Terms”). These Terms are legally binding between you and the Federation for the Promotion and Empowerment of Equality – SPOJ, with its registered office at Terazije 27/2, Belgrade (“SPOJ”, “we”, “us”, “our”), as the holder of all rights to the Website and its content.

By registering an account or (if you do not register) by accessing the Website— including viewing content on the Website and interacting with the software interface or other users via the Website (the “Services”)—you confirm that you are familiar with these Terms (including any additional documents and policies referenced herein) and that you accept them in full. If you do not wish to accept these Terms without limitation, please leave the Website and stop using its content.

SPOJ reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time and shall not be liable for any consequences arising from such changes. Amendments to the Terms take effect five (5) business days after the change has been announced on the Website.

Use of the Website Services

The Website is a set of static and dynamic informational and educational content and/or links to external informational and educational content, as well as tools enabling interaction between users and SPOJ representatives, users and other users, or visitors of the Website, to support individual and collective intellectual and professional development and promote cultural norms SPOJ stands for (commitment, independence, honesty, solidarity, effectiveness, courage, openness, discernment, initiative).

To become a user of the Website and the Services provided through it, you must create an account and register on the Website to gain full access to our content. By registering, you assume full responsibility for the accuracy and completeness of the registered information, for the use and control of access to your account, and for properly protecting your login details from unauthorized use by any third party.

Please note that registering under a false or someone else’s name, or entering other false or incomplete information during registration or use of the Website, violates these Terms and may result in temporary or permanent loss of access privileges.

All activities carried out from your account will be deemed to have been carried out by you, and we will not be liable for any damage that may occur due to your failure to take adequate security measures to protect access to your account.

Within the Website, registered users have access to various types of educational content and activities, including (without limitation) courses, trainings, lectures, workshops, counseling, and mutual exchange of knowledge and experience between individual users, through informational, textual, graphic, audio, and visual materials and user communications via the communication interfaces available within the Website (“Content”).

All benefits of using this Website—including the use of educational materials and work with career and other advisors, mentors, and other users—are free of charge for end users acting as natural persons. In return, the user undertakes ethically, though not legally, to follow certain conduct rules in interactions with other users and toward society as a whole.

First, the user commits to helping other Website users and other members of society, to a reasonable extent and in good faith, in their intellectual and professional development, without expecting anything in return other than that those individuals continue this positive cycle, with the overarching goal of collective social progress.

In addition, the user commits to approaching work on the Website—whether learning, teaching, or informing themselves—with dedication. The user commits to being honest and fair in communication with other users, communicating openly and directly, thinking and acting independently and of their own free will, accepting the invitation to think and act courageously and proactively, and refraining from promoting discouraging or defeatist ways of thinking and acting.

The user accepts these ethical principles and grants the Website administrators the right, in case of their violation or violation of any other part of these Terms, to decide on a temporary or permanent ban from using the Website, without an obligation to provide reasons for such a decision.

Website users may be any persons over 18 years of age, and the term “user” for the purposes of interpreting these Terms includes all persons who register to use the Website, including persons using it as lecturers selected by SPOJ or by individual users directly.

SPOJ reserves the right, at any time and at its sole discretion, to make changes to the offered Content, remove it in whole or in part or suspend its availability, refuse or prohibit sharing certain Content through the Website with some or all users, and change the time, manner, and format in which Content is made available, or any other related circumstance, without prior notice and without liability for any damage that may result.

The Content available to users represents SPOJ’s best effort to provide users with maximum opportunities for intellectual and professional development through acquiring and applying practical new knowledge. The Content does not constitute an official program of any academic or other educational institution and does not enable users to earn credits that could be used in study programs or other programs at universities or other educational institutions.

SPOJ reserves the right, in exceptional circumstances, to deny any registered user continued access to the Website and its content, in whole or in part, and to deactivate their account, including where there is suspicion of a breach of applicable laws or these Terms.

Your Word of Honor: Be Honest, Respectful, and Supportive

All activities and educational materials on the Website are available to you free of charge. In return, you undertake to use accurate personal information when registering, and to help other members of our society advance intellectually and professionally as well. In that way, we create a positive cycle that contributes to collective social progress.

User Obligations

Each user who registers on the Website undertakes:

  • to use the Website and the Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with all applicable regulations, and not to infringe the rights of any other user, SPOJ, or third parties in any way;

  • to keep account access credentials secure and to use only their own account to access the Website, taking all steps to prevent third parties from learning or using their access credentials or account;

  • not to upload to the Website or exchange with other users any Content, materials, or messages owned by third parties or that infringe any intellectual property rights (including, without limitation, copyright, patent, design, trademark, know-how, etc.) or other rights belonging to third parties;

  • to refrain from any attempt to disable or bypass our authentication or security measures or otherwise test the vulnerability of our systems or networks, unless explicitly authorized by SPOJ in writing;

  • not to send any marketing materials, spam, similar messages, chain letters, or materials/messages containing false information or claims likely to mislead users via the Website;

  • not to post on the Website or share with other users any offensive, vulgar, threatening, violent, abusive, fraudulent, racist, chauvinistic, discriminatory, or otherwise inappropriate content or communication, including hate speech, political statements/messages, or any aggressive, harassing, pornographic, or sexually suggestive content;

  • not to publish, send, exchange, or transmit content containing viruses or similar files or programs designed to destroy or limit the operation of any software and/or hardware;

  • not to encourage any third party to do any of the above.

The above, as well as other provisions of these Terms, apply to Website visitors who have not registered an account, to the extent applicable to them. SPOJ reserves the right to remove any content it considers inappropriate or contrary to these Terms or applicable laws. Users are responsible for any damage resulting from their actions.

Your Obligations as a Website User

You are required to use the Website only for lawful purposes, protect your access credentials from misuse by third parties, not exchange materials owned by third parties, not attempt to bypass security measures, not send marketing or spam messages to other users, not share offensive or inappropriate content, not upload virus-infected content, and not encourage third parties to violate any of these obligations.

Intellectual Property Rights

All Website content—including, without limitation, the interface, software, text, images, graphic displays, and audio/video recordings used on or available through the Website (whether or not they constitute Content)—is posted with the permission of the owner or authorized rights holder and is protected by copyright and other applicable intellectual property rights, unless explicitly stated otherwise.

SPOJ is not liable for any infringement of third-party intellectual property rights. Nevertheless, you agree that SPOJ reserves the right, at its sole discretion and with reasoning, to prevent the upload of any Content or remove already uploaded Content from the Website, without liability.

Any unauthorized use or infringement of legally protected intellectual property rights may result in civil and/or criminal liability.

If other websites or media republish content published on the Website, they must clearly and visibly identify the Website as the source. If such content is republished online, it must include a clear reference (link) to the exact page URL on the Website or Platform.

SPOJ is committed to protecting the privacy of all natural persons who visit the Website or register as users. Messages from SPOJ and Advertisers

SPOJ may occasionally send registered users administrative notices necessary for the regular information and operation of services. If SPOJ becomes subject to any dispute or third-party claim due to infringement or damage arising from Content uploaded by a user, that user must provide SPOJ, free of charge, with protection and assistance, including providing evidence necessary to reject such a claim, and must replace SPOJ as a party to proceedings if legal conditions are met (e.g., where the dispute concerns intellectual property rights to user-uploaded Content). The user must compensate SPOJ for all damage suffered as a result, including reasonable attorney fees.
